The second Cross-Strait Taekwondo Communication Contest will be held in Pingtan county, Fujian province, from August 20 to 23, said the organizing committee on Thursday.

Approximately 500 people will compete in three groups for kids, youths and adults. The competitions include poomsae, nunchucks, taekwondo dance and power breaking.

The registration has started and will end in August. Participants will also present electroencephalogram (EEG), electrocardiogram (ECG), certificates of insurance and liability agreements on accidental injury.

The competition is jointly hosted by the Fujian Sports Bureau and Pingtan administrative committee. It is co-organized by the Fujian Social Sports Guide Center; Pingtan science, culture and sports bureau; Global Chinese Taekwondo Association; Fujian Chengzhong Taekwondo club; and Pingtan Taekwondo association.
