The Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Fujian province, will take part in the 2013 China International Exhibition on Financial Banking Technology & Equipment (CIFTEE), scheduled between Sept 5 and 8 at Beijing Exhibition Center, People.com.cn reported.

The CIFTEE is an annual international exhibition on financial information and technology authorized by the Ministry of Science & Technology and sponsored by the People's Bank of China.

This year's exhibition will focus on how “innovative information finance serves social welfare”. It will cover key technology sectors such as mobile Internet finance, mobile payments, financial IC cards and cloud computing, demonstrating China's finance information system development in recent years.

Other emerging key financial development cities and areas to participate in the event include Quanzhou in Fujian, Lishui in Zhejiang, and Chongqing municipality.
