Pingnan FDA inspects health food

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of Pingnan, East China’s Fujian Province, carried out two-week inspections on medicine, medical equipment and health food market stability to guarantee public safety during the Dragon Boat Festival. It has already checked on 52 medicine-related companies.

Pingnan FDA will test supply channels, storage conditions, purchase records and shelf life of drugs, injecting medical equipment and health food products.

The checks show most medicine-related companies follow regulations on drug safety. Some companies that were found with incomplete purchase records have been warned to rectify it in a limited timeframe.
