Putian city, Fujian province, issued a single transport card on Dec 31.

The card, called "Fu Lu Tong," allows Putian residents to take buses in Fujian and other cities that have joined the city traffic pass union, including Beijing, Tianjin and Shijiazhuang.

The "Fu Lu Tong" is a provincial card issued by each city in Fujian.

It is currently used for taking buses and later will be used for taking taxis, parking cars, borrowing books, highway tolls, refueling and medical services.

A hotline will be launched and an app will be developed to recharge cards.
