The best birdwatching season has begun in Fuzhou, Fujian province, after a flock of Daurian Redstart (phoenicurus auroreus), a kind of migratory birds, has been spotted in Fuzhou's wetland parks.

With an improved environment, Fuzhou has become an ideal habitat for migratory birds. The Minjiangkou and Jiangbin wetland parks have attracted an increasing number of birds.

Pan Ende, a big birdwatcher, has photographed flocks of migratory birds and gathered data every weekend since last August. What stunned him most was the appearance of relict gulls, an endangered migratory species. It's estimated that there are less than 10,000 of these birds worldwide.
