A passenger plane made an emergency landing at an airport in Wuyishan city in Fujian province on Wednesday afternoon, according to a Xinhua report.

The SC712 Shangdong Airlines flight from Guangzhou in Guangdong province to Qingdao in Shandong province, was forced to make the landing at around 3 pm due to a problem with its flaps, which are wing devices used to increase the maximum lift coefficient that a wing can generate.

No casualties were reported in the incident.
