Visitors and residents will be feted with a range of cuisines, specialties and creative products from Taiwan at a street fair in the plaza at Haicang district in Xiamen, Fujian province from June 12 to 16.

Part of the seventh Straits Forum, the five-day Taiwan-themed fair will attract more than 100 vendors selling about 400 kinds of traditional snacks from Taiwan. There will be more than 100 booths showing Taiwan's traditional handicrafts and creative products.

For the first time, a prize known as the Gold Spoon will be awarded during the fair to chefs from both sides of the Straits.

In addition to food, other attractions at the fair include Fujian-Taiwan folk culture performances and an exhibition hall featuring Haicang district’s places of interest.
