What does the love between Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty and Lady Yang, Xuanzong’s favorite concubine, look like in the eyes of foreigners?
Antoine Fuqua, an American director, well-known for shooting such films as “King Arthur”“Brooklyn’s Finest” and “The Replacement Killers”, plans to make a film rendering of that love story. The script of “Love in Daming Palace”, written by Yang Zhengguang, a famous playwright in China, has already been finished.
200 million yuan will be invested in the movie, which is not much devoted to war as to love. Antoine will go to Xi’an to prepare for the film soon.
