When the Zhongguancun Science Park's Electronic City incorporated the Greater Wangjing International Scientific, Technological, and Business Innovation Area, in 2012, the area got access to more preferential policies, and now wants to become a powerful force for economic development in Beijing's Chaoyang district, through key programs, an improved environment, and better investment, in 2013.

The Greater Wangjing International Scientific, Technological, and Business Innovation Area has plans to increase the number of projects and arrange investment promotion events to attract more enterprises and come up with 1-billion-yuan worth of fixed assets investment. Zhongguancun Electronic City will also help the Greater Wanjing Area by looking for more investment and improving public transportation.
