Lingbi Stone is named after the place where it comes from, Lingbi county in Anhui province.
There are three kinds of Lingbi Stone: Qishi, Panshi and marble.
Qishi bears natural spirits and issuing a clear sound when being struck, so Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty conferred it “the best stone in the world”.
Panshi, which can only be found in Lingbi county, is dark green and issuing a clear sound when being struck. The stone has the nickname “Bayin (eight sounds) Stone”. 4,000 years ago, people were using it to make music instruments. Art works made of crystal Panshi and marble plank materials are sold in more than 20 countries and regions.
