Quit drinking, smoking and stop overeating are popular New Year's resolutions. But people recognise that it is necessary to be driven 有積極性 to stick to 堅(jiān)持 their decision to abandon 戒掉 bad habits.

One man said he relies on 依靠 his wife to succeed. Another one thinks decisions like that have no use for him as he has nothing to give up 放棄!
