They hear from Jin Lu, the 2009 winner of the 21st Century public speaking competition in China. How did she become so fluent in English without leaving China?

Some of Jin Lu's tips are:

  • Practise reading your English texts aloud.
  • Join conversation clubs, debating societies and go to 'English corners' in your city.

  • Watch your favourite English-language films over and over again.
