1月16日，中國足協(xié)在官網(wǎng)頭條對外公布了《中國足協(xié)將對中超中甲聯(lián)賽部分相關規(guī)程內容進行調整》，內容包括新賽季外援政策的調整以及U23球員的相關規(guī)定。

Chinese soccer's governing body has cut the number of foreign players that clubs can field in domestic matches, citing a need to curb "irrational" spending and encourage the development of more homegrown talent.
中國足協(xié)決定削減國內足球聯(lián)賽中外籍運動員出場的人次，以抑制“非理性”支出，鼓勵培養(yǎng)更多中國本土球員。

此次足協(xié)新政的調整內容主要針對外籍球員（foreign players）和U23球員（players under the age of 23）：

在2017賽季中超聯(lián)賽中，上場的外籍運動員（含亞足聯(lián)會員協(xié)會所屬運動員）為累計三人次（clubs in the Chinese Super League will be allowed a maximum of three foreigners on the pitch）。外籍運動員（含亞足聯(lián)會員協(xié)會所屬運動員）注冊、報名的規(guī)則、數(shù)量不變。

在2017賽季中超、中甲聯(lián)賽中，上場運動員名單中應列入至少二名U23國內運動員（1994年1月1日后出生），其中一名U23國內運動員應為首發(fā)運動員（each club is now required to have at least two Chinese players under the age of 23 in their 18-member matchday squad, and at least one in the starting lineup）。
