Under normal conditions, Bohai supports a healthy variety of fish, crustaceans, corals and kelp. But all these are being threatened. According to the Tianjin Bohai Sea Fisheries Research Institute, at least 20 species of marine life have disappeared from these waters in the last 30 years.
