Beijing Qiyuan Tea Co. Ltd's predecessor was the Hongye Tea Shop, which was established in 1923. Qiyuan was formed in 2000 with the merger of three time-honored tea brands, Qiyuan, Qinglinchun and Sentai. Its franchised stores mainly sell jasmine tea, as well as green tea, black tea, Oolong tea and brick tea.
