Other than his teaching job at Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, Yu Jie is a part-time photographer, who specializes in images of students and professional models.

Yu will present his thoughts on "fashion and consumerism" through dozens of photos of young Chinese women taken for a decade since 2005, at the solo exhibition Volume and Form of the Age, which opens at New Millennium gallery in Beijing on April 30.
