Eva Longoria and her fiance Tony Parker are reportedly planning to wed in a French castle.

The Desperate Housewives actress - who is due to tie the knot with the French-born basketball player on July 7 next year - has apparently hired a romantic venue just outside Paris to host the ceremony.

However, Eva does not want the cost of the nuptials to spiral out of control and has enlisted the services of celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss to make sure everything for the big day is done within a budget.

According to Us Weekly magazine, she told Weiss: "We are building a house right now in San Antonio, so we just can't go over budget."

Earlier this week, Tony, 24, admitted he couldn't wait to marry the Latin actress.

He said: "I am so happy. I've wanted to do this for some time. Eva really wanted to get married in France. It's a beautiful country, a country of love and a place that is very special for us. It's important to her that we get married there."

The San Antonio Spurs player surprised Eva, 31, last week by flying to her Los Angeles home unannounced and getting down on one keen to pop the question.
