Hollywood celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie would make the most popular cycle pillion passengers, a poll just published has revealed.

The pair notched 35% of the votes in the National Motorcycle Week survey, according to utvinternet.com.

More than 36% of women selected Pitt, with 26% of men going for Jolie. There was even some same-sex support for the duo, with Angelina a favourite pillion companion for 3.8% of women and Brad tops with 2.7% of men.

The pair beat the likes of Ewan McGregor, George Clooney, David Beckham, Robbie Williams and Johnny Depp.

It was reported that Angelina and Pitt, whose relationship was spawned on a film set, will again work together - this time on a movie based on the life of Daniel Pearl, the Wall Street Journal reporter who was kidnapped and murdered in Pakistan.

Jolie will star as Pearl's wife, Mariane Pearl, in an adaptation of her book, A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband Danny Pearl, it was announced on Thursday.

Pitt will produce the film to be directed by Michael Winterbottom.

It is the first announced on-screen role for Jolie, 31, since the birth of daughter Shiloh Nouvel, born in Namibia in May.
