Chinese shares down 3.62% Thursday

Chinese equities dived 3.62 percent Thursday, led by declining heavy weights and banking stocks.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was down 3.62 percent, or 119.19 points, to close at 3,170.98 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index declined 3.82 percent, or 527.18 points, to close at 13,287.37 points.
Combined turnover expanded to 424.6 billion yuan ($62.17 billion) from 354.51 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
