有一次，我參加了新加入的體育俱樂(lè)部組織的爬山遠(yuǎn)足活動(dòng)。我們走了兩個(gè)多鐘頭以后，大家決定在小路邊休息一下。我們坐在地上，隨便的議論著附近的風(fēng)景。這時(shí)忽然有三四位女會(huì)員站起來(lái)說(shuō)：“We are going into the woods。”我想她們一定是要去一個(gè)很有意思的地方。于是，我也站起來(lái)說(shuō)：“I am going with you folks！”話音剛落，其他男會(huì)員就哈哈大笑著說(shuō)：“No, You are not！”
我莫名其妙，趕忙問(wèn)明原因。原來(lái)，野外沒(méi)有廁所，那幾個(gè)女會(huì)員所說(shuō)的“Go into the woods”，其實(shí)是指在樹林中找一個(gè)四顧無(wú)人的地方充當(dāng)廁所，也就是“方便”的意思。
