75kg pumpkin showcased in Beidaihe Jifa sightseeing garden

A giant 75kg pumpkin rests on a stool in a Beidaihe Jifa Agricultural Sightseeing Garden in the coastal city of Qinhuangdao on July 19, 2004. It still grows, with a daily increase of at most 2.5 kilograms, and is supposed to reach as heavy as 150 kilograms. The sightseeing garden is one of economic entities of Beidaihe Jifa Comprehensive Agricultural Development Co Ltd, an industrialization group corporation with 80 million yuan (US$9.6 million) in total capital and property.
