Wife accuses her husband of 'robbery'

A woman called police saying she had been robbed, but police later found it was a dispute between a married couple, reports Chutian Metropolis News.

Li called police saying that her ex-boyfriend robbed her of her mobile phone last week in Wuhan of Hubei Province.

Local police came and detained the man. However, police later found that the man Wang was Li's husband. Li wanted to divorce Wang but had been refused.

Wang said Li owed him a sum of money and took Li's mobile phone. Li then called police. Wang asked police for compensation because he was injured during a fight with police during the arrest procedure.

Police said they took action according to the law and had no responsibility for the misunderstanding. They asked the couple to solve their dispute through negotiation.
