Police hunt for hit-and-run drivers Guangzhou police started a hunt for hit-and-run drivers on Sunday after they failed to surrender before a deadline, reports Shenzhen Special Zone Daily. The police, who gave the drivers up to the end of last year to turn themselves in, will search 10 provinces to track them down. There were 801 hit-and-run cases during the first 10 months last year in Guangzhou, accounting for 10 per cent of all traffic-accident cases; but only a small number had surrendered since the deadline was set. |
