Some expectant mothers in Guangzhou chose to give Caesarean births before Sunday, or February 29, to enable their children to celebrate their birthdays every year, reports Information Times.

In contrast, some other parents, who gave birth on Sunday, said the birthday makes their babies special.

February 29 occurs only once in every four years.
