Failed businessman tries extortion
A culprit who delivered extortion letters to more than 50 business people and celebrities was caught on Saturday by police in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province, reports Wuhan Morning Post. Gan Xiaoming, a local businessman, delivered the first letter last November when his company suffered a loss and plotted to extort a total of 220,000 yuan (US$27,000) from local entrepreneurs and other celebrities. Acting on a clue, local police captured Gan in his house quite to his surprise. |
