A stunning crew of 66 beauties have given their first collective show in Beijing before vying for the 16th Miss Model of the World in east China later this month.

The beauty contest will be held in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province on May 27th.

The candidates for the high level model competition are champions of earlier regional contests form 60 countries and regions.

With emphasis placed on the unique aspects of their own cultures, the group of stunners modelled their traditional clothing to a group of excited Beijingers.

Ma Li, from central China's Hunan Province will compete in the final contest for China.

The models kicked off their 15-day tour in Beijing, and will travel to nine other cities including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Macao.

In Beijing, the models have visited the Great Wall and the Palace Museum, and planed to plant a World Peace Forest in the outskirts of the Chinese capital.
