Hong Kong to issue new bonds Secretary for Financial Services & Treasury Frederick Ma said Saturday that bonds for five tunnels and the Tsing Ma Bridge would be issued around April or May. Speaking on a local radio program, Ma said some bonds would be available on the retail market. He hoped to invite banks to explain details of the bonds to the public in due course. However, Ma said the scale of the proposed bond program has not been decided,
nor has the interest rate. Market factors will be crucial in those decisions, he
said. |
