Farmer obtains three patents ( 2003-12-15 16:25) (China Daily)
A 58-year-old farmer in Tongzhou District, who has only junior high school education, obtained three national patents this year, reports Beijing Daily. Since 2001, Zhao Bingjie invented three gadgets to improve the efficiency of corn-reaping machines; and secured patent certification issued by the State Intellectual Property Office. Zhao said that he plans to apply for two more patents next year.
