TWO renowned Chinese scientists, botanist Wu Zhengyi and biochemist Zou Chenglu, were honored with lifetime achievement awards and HK$1 million (US$128,200) each in Hong Kong yesterday.

The Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, which gave away the prizes, hailed the two scientists for "making prominent contributions to China's scientific advancement."
