Judge presides over 'divorce auction'

A Xinhui court held an auction at the home of a divorcing couple who could
not agree on how to divide their property, reports Guangzhou Daily.
Zhao and Zou's divorce case has been dragging on, beset by disputes over the
division of their common property, including an apartment, a motorcycle, a
computer and a digital camera.
The judge went to their home, took an inventory and asked them to bid for
each item - the spouse that wins the bid gets the property while the other
receives cash compensation, he explained.
Both parties were satisfied with the arrangement and signed the divorce
documents afterwards.
