'White fog' blankets whole city

Xinyu, a city in Jiangxi Province, was cloaked in a "white fog" on Saturday
morning as dense white dust floated in the air, reports Xinhua.
Many citizens deemed it a mysterious meteorologic phenomenon, possibly the
result of a particularly dry and hot autumn.
But meteorologists said it might have been caused by environmental pollution
in neighbouring areas.
They believed the wind carried the dust to Xinyu, which sits at a lower
elevation.
