Chinese lessons add communication skills

In addition to reading and writing, Chinese lessons in primary and middle
schools in Shanghai will also be used to teach students communication skills,
Shanghai Morning Post reports.
The Municipal Education Commission has set up a task force to determine the
best way to improve students' spoken Chinese.
According to a survey, the younger the students, the more willing they are to
speak up in class and express themselves in public.
