Insurance cheat arrested at scene

A man involved in
orchestrating fake car accidents in order to get insurance pay-outs was caught
by police last Friday when he was involved in a real accident in rural Beijing,
reports Beijing Evening News.
In July, police found that Wang Yixiong and Zhang Tongjun had been setting up
collisions since last year using an old car in Sijiqing Village. The pair had
claimed a total of about 200,000 yuan (US$24,000) in compensation from an
insurance company.
Although police arrested Wang and seven others involved in the scam on July
20, Zhang remained at large.
But last Friday as police investigated a traffic accident in Balizhuang, they
were surprised to discover that the driver was none other than
Zhang.
