Marriage certificate during holiday

Marriage registration offices in Guangzhou will remain open during the
National Day holiday week for the convenience of the public, reports Guangzhou
Daily.
The new Marriage Registration Regulations, which no longer require couples to
produce certificates from their "work units" or undergo pre-marital physical
examinations, will go into effect October 1.
Many marriage-minded couples are believed to be delaying registration until
the simplified procedures are in place.
