4 months for 17-hour kidnapping

The Minhang Court has
sentenced a man to four months in prison for kidnapping and holding his debtor's
cousin for 17 hours, reports Shanghai Evening Post.
Shi lent Sun 180,000 yuan (US$2,170), but Sun disappeared soon afterwards.
Fearing Sun would never repay him, Shi kidnapped his cousin.
After Shi beat the man into confessing Sun's whereabouts, he ordered Sun to
sign an IOU acknowledging the debt.
The cousin was rescued by police.
