Google trying to get website unblocked in China
( 2002-09-04 17:07 ) (7 ) US-based Internet search engine firm Google said Wednesday it was working with Chinese authorities in an attempt to remove a block imposed on its website at the weekend. "Our users have confirmed that we are being blocked in China. We are currently working with Chinese authorities to restore service," said Cindy McCaffrey. The company had not received any specific information on why Google, which has a very popular Chinese-language page, was being blocked, she added.
