An exhibition featuring painter Zhang Peili's works of 24 solar terms was held in Beijing from July 23 to 31.
Without any figurative works, each solar term was presented through colors, lines and spots in Zhang’s paintings.
"Life itself is a great inspiration. Writers use words to record lives, and I turn to my brushes to collect those moments in my life," Zhang said.
He named this series of paintings as "A Dairy of Four Seasons".
