Huge models of characters from the Japanese TV show Ultraman are on display during an exhibition that opened on April 30 at the Shanghai New World Daimaru to mark the 50th anniversary of the Ultraman series.

 It’s the largest official Ultraman exhibition in China and features two 5 meter-high giant fighting Ultraman models that stand in the shopping mall’s atrium.

Ultraman first aired in Japan in 1966 and was introduced to China in 1993, triggering an enormous public response.
