Ding Wei, deputy minister of the Chinese Ministry of Culture, attended the opening ceremony with Andrey Denisov, Russian ambassador to China. They cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony together, and delivered speeches in succession.

The exhibition, which consists of 6 chapters: War and Confront, Days of Victory, memorable years, Legend and Meritorious Deed, Memory and Recall and Imprinting Forever, displays 76 sets of works in total, including 74 oil paintings and 2 pieces of sculpture.
