4. Chinese director wins prize at Slavic film festival

You Xiaogang, one of the best TV series directors in China, won the grand prize, "Helios", at the Second International Cinema and TV Festival "Slavic Fairy Tale", Sept 15.

5. Documentary on Terracotta Warriors wins British award

New Secrets of the Terracotta Warriors, a documentary co-filmed by Britain's Lion Television and China Hong Kong's Phoenix Television, won the Best Public Presentation of Archaeology Award from the British Archaeological Awards 2014. The award winners were announced at a ceremony in the British Museum on July 14.

6. Chinese film wins big at 64th Berlin International Film Festival

The Chinese film Black Coal, Thin Ice won the Golden Bear for the Best Film; Chinese actor Liao Fan won the Silver Bear for Best Actor for his performance in the film, Feb 15. Zeng Jian won the Silver Bear Award for an Outstanding Artistic Achievement for the film Blind Massage.
