Beijing became the new world record holder for the biggest angklung performance on Sunday, after 5,390 people played the traditional Indonesian instrument at the same time.

Participants from 14 countries played some of the most popular Indonesian and Chinese songs such as Manuk Dadali and The Moon Speaks for My Heart in Beijing Workers' Gymnasium with only 10 minutes of training before the performance.

A joint effort between the embassy of Indonesia in Beijing and the Indonesia-China Friendship Association, the performance was monitored and recorded by the Guinness Book of Records.
