Richard N. Zare, United States

Born in 1939, Zare is the Marguerite Blake Wilbur Professor of Natural Science at Stanford University. He is also a member of the US National Academy of Sciences and a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. As a physical chemist and analytical chemist, Zare is renowned for his research in the area of analytical chemistry.
