XIANGFEN, Shanxi: Another three officials were sacked on Saturday for a fatal mine accident that killed 262 people in Shanxi province.

Kang Haiyin, Party chief of Xiangfen county, where the tragedy occurred, was dismissed from his post, following a meeting of the Party's Shanxi committee in Linfen.

Deputy Party chief Li Xuejun of Xiangfen was also dismissed. The meeting also proposed the local people's congress should dismiss Li from his post as Xiangfen's magistrate and suggested Han Baoquan be dismissed as deputy magistrate.
