We should pay more attention to the default wages of migrant workers, says an article in Yanzhao Metropolis Daily. The following is an excerpt:

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security conducted a nationwide investigation recently into default wages of migrant workers and helped them get back about 1.7 billion yuan ($223.7 million). Between 2004 and July this year, the government helped get back default wages amounting to about 43 billion yuan.

A ministry spokesman said the problem of default wages concerning migrant workers was basically solved, but we believe this is not so.
