Hu lauds Macao people's solidarity

MACAO: President Hu Jintao on Sunday praised the people of Macao for their unity and solidarity.
"The people all working with one will can move Mount Tai," Hu used a Chinese proverb to describe local residents.
Mout Tai, located in East China's Shandong province, is literally used to describe an immovable thing.
Hu made these remarks when meeting about 150 representatives of Macao people, including officials of Macao's third-term government, which swore in on Sunday morning.
"I hope Macao people continue to work together, under the leadership of the new government and the chief executive, for a better Macao," he said.
A public representative said solidarity is crucial for the development of Macao.
"Macao should be a place of great tolerance to allow people to work with one will," said Ambrose So, CEO of Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, a major casino operator in Macao.
