Chinese military website collects reports on fake news

By Zhang Yi | chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2017-11-19 17:37

The Chinese military launched a platform on Sunday that allows the public to report fake news and other online activity that could be harmful to the armed forces.

The platform?- www.81.cn/jubao/index.htm?- accepts tipoffs about people who pretend to be military personnel on social media, malicious posts about the People's Liberation Army, or leaks of potentially classified information.

China Military Online, the official website of PLA Daily, operates the site under guidance from the Central Military Commission's Political Work Department.
