Gradual rise for retirement age

China's plan to extend the retirement age will be rolled out in 2017 and take effect no sooner than 2022, Yin Weimin, minister of Human Resources and Social Security, said on Tuesday.

Once taking effect, the retirement age will be increased several months per year, till it reaches the new retirement age. All information concerning the new retirement age will be published in advance, said Yin.
