Arrival of attendees: Members of the CPPCC began arriving at Beijing on Sunday and Monday. The CPPCC held a news conference at 3 PM Monday which was open to both domestic and overseas media.
Reporters accreditated: Reporters covering the annual "two sessions" received their press passes in Beijing on Sunday. More than 3,000 journalists from home and abroad signed up to report on the most important political meetings in China this year.
Security tightened: Extra security around the Great Hall of the People was deployed on Feb 28.
Press center opens: The press center for the two sessions opened on Feb 27 and it will hold daily press conferences.
