An Anhui University physical fitness test caused controversy among the students over a requirement that only underwear can be worn for the examination, The Beijing Times reported on Friday.
Male and female students took the test separately, but many young women said they were very uncomfortable to be almost naked in front of others. University staff said part of the test required minimal clothing and students need to cooperate.
