| A bird's eye view of Pingba in Guizhou province on Tuesday as a new wave of heavy rain hit Southwest China. According to Guizhou Civil Affairs Bureau, since May 24, 1.08 million residents have been affected by downpours. Four people have been killed and 141,000 relocated in a short time. More than 7,800 homes collapsed or were severely damaged. Direct financial losses have been calculated at more than half-a-billion yuan with 6,200 hectares of crops ruined.
